actually people fight in cover and it provide different result and,you didn't face them in the right direction that also count as flanked
you might wanna use Combined unit in a first contract since USF always take the advantage in early game you probably see 2 rifleman fight in a same point and 3rd flank from left or right fuel depend on map ,then you can leave kubel to their own task anytime RE can't do much again it he'll retreat soon
