I am not sure where I went wrong here. The other guy seemed to have reams of good luck with the stuart. I just didn't know where to focus my defense.

I watched the game.
You did fine, everything by the book build wise but...you had too many unnecessary wipes and some bad RNG. Like the stuart two shotting your gren squad.
Generally speaking the stuart decided the game he damage he caused was your coffin. If you had a teller mine in this game if would be completely different ... Mines win games.
3 Things you can learn:
1. Retreat in time and don't leave your support weapons unprotected. Your mortar was not screened, the pak was too long on the field, being overrun by troops and HMG got frontally nade wiped. All hints that you simply need to react earlier to a threat and retreat from engangments you can not win.
2. Don't scout with your half health sniper, especially when there's a stuart around.
3. Don't charge in with a stug / tanks where your USF opponent went captain and has a stuart. Stuart stun + 2 paks = goodbye Stug.
Maybe you could've still won, if you would get a P4 instead of the Stug and started to play defensively when you were on the backfoot. Focus on one side and VP with your P4 backing your advance up.

Yeah that stuart messed me up good. I was panicking and frustrated by the end.
I've also decided that next time in a game like this I'll focus on keeping one side instead of trying to keep both fuels like i did in this one. What say your strategic insights to that?
Ty for the other advice though I'm sure it will help.
