Even if it comes from a 90 degree angle, ordering a sideways movement to the tank will make 'arch' its way there, you will save ur tanks 90% of the time.
Forward sideways movement is better coz if you order a reverse sideways movement, most likely the tank will rotate on its axis first.
There is no need to nerf it and its not BS.. its a 110 muni doctrinal ability that comes at 10 cps. Work up ur micro bro.

i think the best way to avoid it is to order the tank to move sideways instead of forwards or backwards, beacuse 99% of the time the strafe will be lined up to come in either from behind or front of the tank.

You need to work on reading comprehension,and game knowledge,BRO.in the title it says Close Air support (LOITER) which is the ability you cannot dodge,it makes MULTIPLE passes,and targets and obliterates ANYTHING,not just tanks, in the targetting circle(WHICH IS HUGE)and comes with a Tiger in lightning war. The ability itself is called Stuka Close Air support.
Not the Doctrine close air support.

Yeah....AND im supposed to spend 60 fuel on a paper halftrack LATEGAME,against callin tigers and shrek blobs and multiple sources of 2shottery? rofl
And either swap a crew or hope it gets to vet 1...Is the AA mode range even long enough to hit the plane before it makes one pass to #rekt my tanks??
the EXPENSIVE AA HT may or may not do its job before the plane does its over the top damage,which is just bs.
Its not like Ostwind vs P47,where an Ostwind always makes sense to buy lategame,and is twice as durable and has a turret.
AND since the P47 doesnt just slap slap slap pew pew pew wipe german tanks off the map, it has to make multiple passes unless its target is already damaged,or unless its a luchs or panzerwerfers its aiming for.
which means the P47 will be shot down before it kills anything heavy(German) from full health.
Typical relic overbuff. im expecting more of it this next patch.

In my opinion spending 55 fuel to shoot those planes out of the sky is well worth it. As USF if you dominate in the early game you should have loads of fuel, and the AA HT is a very good early game investment. If you can keep it alive, that is.

It's not a bad investment if it protects your more expensive units... And it's not like it can only shoot down planes. Even in late game light vehicles have their uses.
Its like buying a scott after you know theres a JT around. Sure you can use it but it probably wont last long in any real supportive role. maybe to cover a flank.
I ran a test in cheatmod.
Since the first run ALWAYS comes from the Axis side of the map,if you are being aggressive at all with your tanks you're always susceptible to being hit with it,since the AA HT doesnt have the range to shoot it down before it starts shooting. Im simply not spending 60 fuel and wasting a vetted crew for a CHANCE to knock it out before it murders a poor tank crew..and then what happens if it doesnt? ive lost/wasted 170 fuel and i now have a dead weight AA halftrack,while the axis gain even more of an armor advantage than they already had.
With NO AA HT,i Found that the ONLY TIME IT DID NOT KILL A MEDIUM TANK IN ONE PASS WAS IF IT EITHER MISSED by RNG,OR HIT NEARBY TERRAIN. Which is...undesirable to put it mildly.
WITH AA HT supporting,i found that it will either crash somewhere in allied lines,and do no damage directly with its cannons,
or it will make its first pass,kill something American,and then be shot down even further in allied lines,likely in my HQ because relic does not like me.

You likewise lose Tigers and panthers to the p47d strike, especially when Relic's patented pathing issues appear or your tanks are snared.
There is a counter use it, you don't even need to have your aa at the front line, just a bit out of base is enough to deal with loitering planes

1. It will shoot only sometimes before strafe.
2. It won't help you. It will help you enemy. Shooted down plane will crash near your units. It may not be as deadly as in 3v3/4v4 but once in 4v4 I tried to use AA agasint double CAS and guess what, over 23 crashes. I lost more units to crashes than to enemy.
AA will not prevent anything. It will make CAS or any other doctrine planes more deadly cause after strafe they will dive into your units.
Of course Lightining is not as kamikaze like CAS but still.
In this case AA would be useful - no CAS spam so there would be just few crashes.
It's like getting flaktruck in late game to stop P47.

You actually wont lose FULL HEALTH PANTHERS AND TIGERS TO JUST A P47 EVER,They have more durability,more PRACTICAL AA available to prevent follow up passes, and IF you move or blitz away the P47s wont chase or hit you more than once.
CAS will snipe every american tank in one pass. AA or no AA. And if it dont get ya the first time,hes comin back around.
Also if the AA HT is too far back it wont do anything. Shame. And we know what'll happen if its up front with shrek blobs,tigers,and Paks Oh my!
these Air abilites are designed to kill snared or in bad position tanks,not blast them with barely any warning,when they arent even in combat... if you had an overextended KT with engine damage get killed by P47,boo hoo.
Ask ANYONE if stuka CAS is OP and they'll agree. Why defend it. Its clearly over the top. AA or no AA.

I saw the game and the Ju87g strafe was performing like it was touched by RNG Jesus this game. There are games where it won't hit tanks and also won't one shot them. So or so, before the buff the ability was useless and never used, I'm simply not a fan of effectively removing abilities & units by nerfing them do death.

note what it did to Redwings KV2s. damaged heavily,but not wiped in one pass.
It doesn't matter if it stops the second or third if I already lost a tank before I could do anything to move away from the first. It's already paid for itself. Damage is DONE.
I also say that shrek ober blobs are too good, but counters exist. See how ridiculous that sounds?
It should be "nerfed" to do more crits allowing other units to finish ,instead of blowing the tank off the map with raw damage.
