1v1 Soviet vs OKW game that seemed to be pretty even for both sides to me, but then the Sturm Tiger came which obliterated everything. No idea what I should have done here, so help would be appreciated.
Also, sorry for my immaturity in chat. Got a little frustrated, which shows at the end of the match when I completely waste my T34-85s.
How do I counter Sturm Tiger?

I am serious. It can fire from outside of normal LoS due to range, or though vision blockers. Literally the first clue that there is a Sturmtiger on the field could be the fact that one of your tanks just went from 100% hp no 0%hp.
I suppose the one thing you can do it rush the base after it has fired and dropping an IL-2 bombstrike on the damn thing while it is reloading. Just make sure you don't hit it with anything else. The crew will die, giving your enemy time to re-crew it and drive away from the bombstrike.

But yeah, that makes sense.
Something really, really, really needs to be done about this unit. Units that can squad wipe with a single shot are horrible. There's a huge ISU-152 thread for a reason

I've killed one before with USF. No arty, no nothing.... He was sloppy with it and was being aggressive so I setup some AT guns near my base....and had some tanks flank it. I lost anyways! That tank had no impact on my loss. The way he was using it was just to buy him VP time. In this case...it did impact your loss. Best way to deal with it is to really stay back and focus on VP and get LOS on it if you can. If you see one sitting in his base....def do not go in there ... he is waiting 4 you....

TBH, it's quite hard to get enough fuel to afford a sturmtiger. I haven't watched the replay, but my bet that was his only (or 2nd) vehicle. I would just mass tanks since his only anti tank weapons will be rakketen or panzerschreck upgrade. It's hard, but you cannot play by trying to barrage or shoot him at range or defend - the sturmtiger excels in breaking up those tactics.

It's actually not hard to get the fuel for a stürmtiger vs soviets unless they maxim spam. You don't need a vehicle fast against normal soviet play as your elite infantry can easily go head to head with soviet infantry. With a little fuel conversion you can have 1 stürmtiger vs 2 T34/76. 1-shot one of them from behind a bush and now it's 1 sturmtiger vs 1 T34. By the time they get a new T34 you have a puma.
On topic: Maybe going cheesy no-tech T34/85s is the answer. I don't think they get one-shotted by the sturmtiger. Soviet T3/4 is pretty weak-sauce anyway so you might as well abuse the call-in system and get some more tanks that are actually worth it.

Yea, getting the Sturm isn't really that hard against soviets unless they are REALLY good at snipers or maxims. I usually expect early puma or Flak truck. If not...they will go JagDpanther...that's nasty just by itself. It's slow but properly defended....a nightmare.
Often I find....not always the Sturm misses all together the intended targets and hit a tiny tree. It can often decimate it's own team by accident. Then it's a complete waste for a good 90 seconds is it?
Perhaps go IS2 next time. ISU if you want to be brave and try to hold out. Chances are they will win by VP from elite infantry though. OKW can win on VP really fast.

There was an early Puma, and I managed to get 2 T34s. Map control was pretty much 50/50. There was no way to get more because their absurd infantry raped mine, and my T34s couldn't be too aggressive because of schreks/puma/raketenwerfer. The first shot of the Sturm killed my T34, so by the time I could react I had only one tank. So massing tanks wasn't really an option. I could've went IS2 of course, but I figured I needed guards, and didn't (and couldn't) anticipate a Sturm Tiger.

The ISU152 wipes a lot, but every 10s is nonsense. And most importantly, an ISU-152 will never one shot a P4/T34. A Sturm Tiger however does it with ease. Also, a Sturm Tiger is a lot cheaper. But that's not my point. My point is that both units are ridicilous, and no unit should be able to squad wipe in a single shot.

My T34-85s got one shotted as well actually. The fact that I lost them was totally my fault there, but I'm not sure if it's the best way to go. I really needed something like SUs. But I already teched to T3, so it was way too expensive to go T4 at that point. Also, had I waited for T34-85s, I wouldn't have had a decent counter against the Obersoldaten and Fallschirmjagers.

Any unit that can 1 shot squads does suck. But hey. You gotta deal with it. 
The crazy thing is he was winning the battles but you still had map control when you quit. I'm sure that it would have just dragged out and you'd have lost anyways but had you hung back and maybe saved for 4 t34/85 you may have stood more of a chance. You were really aggressive. But you are a good player and you learn from it.
