but still, cons are better than volks, in combat and in reinforce cost, also they have AT nades that are enought for soviets to deal with OKW vehs (usually 100% penetration and engine damage) and Maxim is nearly unflankable because volks are not good in flanking stuff.

That's a tad harsh, I think.

I watched your game, Batron:snfBarton: -thank you for submitting it - and I am probably wrong, but it seemed to be a game you unfortunately threw away. As the meta evolves,there will doubtless be refinements which will help you hold the edge. e.g. you did not convert the T3, so you had no access to the Obersoldaten, and their vehicle 'heavies'- which I fully accept means a longer game. but this is not altogether unknown: e.g. 3Es/4Riffles in vCoH was a game of stalling.

The problem with OKW, ( I think), is that with 2 evenly matched players,OKW is inherently campy,which may not suit your laudable, aggressive play style. TBH, I do not like OKW, bcs it invariably seems to mean you have to stall - to go down, in order to come up. OKW seems to be Britz with refinements,and I doubt if that appeals to many.

I am no whizz kid with the Maff - but I would be interested to know why Relic deemed it fit for the OKW to earn less per point than the Allies: if evened up, would it then make the OKW overpowering? Ciez probably knows the answer to this,but he has stayed tight-lipped

+1, it's just ruins the game experience, nevermind balance. The whole WFA vs EF is just a huge issue atm.

I couldnt get T3 because I had no fuel (i knew he was going for KV-8/IS-2) so i get jagdpanzer to counter it but unfortunately he had 2 ZiS and these also couln't be killed. OKW are cheaper version of soviets in this, volks are worse than cons because they can't do proper flanking, maxim is still OP and better than MG34, raketenwerfer is useless in closed maps with no buildings (like crossing in the woods). OKW has no tank that rapes infantry like every second soviet tanks, IS-2 can be called really quickly wheile those "powerful" OKW tanks are impossible to get in 1v1's. screw OKW, it's not even worth to play them atm

regardless how he play this game, what Baron says is true. USF have no way to deal with Pak/sniper/Stug 3E, and OKW fail against Sovs. 2 players equal skill and micro WFA < EFA atm.

This is in reference to 1v1 and top 30ish players or so.

But what about the poor guys that don't have it? btw I do have it ;) I'm just not happy with "if you want to counter X, buy doc Y".

Getting your infantry support guns out earlier than by the 26 minute mark would have helped. Maxims are a true pain in the ass and I guess the only way to deal with them as OKW is by indirect RNG fire. Doesn't really help that the Volkgrenadiers are utterly useless at doing anything at all. Probably wont touch this faction again until they recieve some sort of damage- or upgrade buff.

the hilarious thing about this is Soviet players actually have no choice but to maxim spam and you all know it, anything else means OKW imba units coming faster, Soviets have no other counter to OKW inf, snipers and clown cars just do not work, if you don't suppress OKW inf it will kill you, its really as simple as that.

If relic do anything about maxim they will have to do shit loads to cons so they are usable against OKW.

I will say though a unit cap is the only true answer in this game to achieve any kind of balance, spam has plagued the coh series since its release back in 2006.

Should simply make it 4 man squad and workout balance trough that. Instead of keeping it stubbornly 6 man squad.


imagine the wehr rifle nade, it would be insta gibbed every engagement..lol
