Relic enforces conditions on people via their agreements, but change them whenever they want (final date has been changed) and then disqualify players for not being able to fulfill certain conditions. This is just complete lunacy. I understand your point but the finals aren't being delayed for Relic's benefit, they are being delayed specifically for the benefit of the participants. Thread: RELIC'S WPC Change of plan 10 Sep 2016, 20:08 PM Yeah It's not an ideal situation for anyone involved but I feel that Relic have made the right decision here. It was clearly stated to the participants the obligations involved in participating, and Relic made every attempt to get Noggano over to the finals. I wouldn't say that the effort to postpone the finals was a negative move. Relic had every right to hold the tournament on the initially suggested date. Instead they were prepared to delay it so that travel could be organised and participants in the final were treated fairly. I've really enjoyed the tournament so far and am looking forward to the final rounds. In: Events Central
Thread: Feb 17th Stream Summary18 Feb 2016, 18:03 PM Hmmm yeah good changes, it's not that Maxims are straight forward OP it's that multiple Maxims are super oppressive and very hard to deal with. Having casted games where players have played pretty much perfectly as Axis and still lost hard. I think that setup time is a really good way to adjust this so as not to make Maxims worthless.I can definitely understand them taking some time to ensure they don't handicap Soviets crosses heavily biased Allied fingers for a Penal buff. AEC change looks good, it will obviously need playtesting. CalliOP durability may still be an issue but these changes will hopefully be enough. Really hoping to see garrisoning/squad clumping around corners changes soon, the cheesy mine wipes for all factions is a pretty huge problem. In: COH2 Gameplay

Deals with anything early even against M3, but it can get a bit tricky. But so long as the Sturms are in cover, the Sturmpio insane DPS will just shred the M3 and force it off. Don't even bother with the Raketenwerfer, and Volks are only really worth getting for the Shrek. Though I like to have Volks against US. I agree with TheMachine, Volks against Soviets just doesn't seem that viable, it's pretty much just trying to match conscripts against cheaper conscripts(in terms of damage output to reinforce/build cost). Strumpio's are just fantastic, if you have them predicatively in cover they can easily deal with the M3, cons etc. Maxims might be an issue on maps with heaps of garrisons like Semosiski but still in decent cover OKW has heaps of infantry that just shred. Plus nades are pretty decent. Requires a lot more gameplay to determine balance issues, really should hold off for a week or two. In: COH2 Balance

It's kind of hilarious though. Any advice on how to beat noobs who do this faster? I'm thinking I should have just planted more Smines or bunkers everywhere, because this was the most annoying thing ever to play against. Apparently an IS-2 can beat two PZiVs, but I was tired of microing around all the conscripts and probably could have done better but it came down to RNG I think. How about just building some P-grens, they were un-PPSHed cons there was no reason for you to lose to that, plus the Soviet really wasn't playing that well. To be honest your micro early wasn't really that bad but your choices were. The double P-4 for example was a bad idea, hell build an Ostwind if you want. Also I have included a picture of your floating 900 manpower which happened consistently well before Tiger Ace. EDIT-Just take my word for the float In: Replays

Just have an engineer on the same screen as the mines and conduct your assault as normal, then cleanup afterwards. I'd give it some more time before declaring OP/UP one way or another. A huge part of it I suspect (for myself included) is that you have months of time playing as Soviets without ever needing to consider buying a minesweeper. Now you do. Yeah I defiantly think this is a valid way of dealing with the mines. Provided you position Engies so they don't get killed and move out successfully before the German has time to camp you in. Only issue then is making sure the mines are still deactivated for your retreat path. In: COH2 Balance

Unlike s-mines, they don't have little "Mines are here!" signs. If s-mines are area denial to you, then you are not building a single patch. You are probably building multiple patches to cover an area. Soviet mines aren't just put there hoping for vehicles - they are used equally against infantry. I'm 90% sure flamers on Pio's clear regular Soviet Mines, as for the infantry point yes you are right I was just trying to highlight the differences in the mines. There isn't an issue on the majority of the maps but on maps like Semoskiy Summer where if you are North there are only 2-3 small chokepoint ways out of your base the combination of the grouped S mines and MG-42's, Bunkers and even MG-42 Grens are incredibly potent.
