The 4 Invited Players
Hailing from Spain, Jesús "Jesulin" Antigüedad López is a nigh unstoppable force whether on the Company of Heroes 2 tournament circuit or on the automatch ladder. The winner of the $1000 COH2.ORG 1v1 Tourney and the Alienware Arena Cup EU, Jesulin is renowned as a player who never missteps and never loses his cool. The names of the invited players are only now being announced, but the odds-makers in Las Vegas are already predicting Jesulin to take this one all the way to the finals.
Runner up in the $1000 COH2.ORG 1v1 Tourney, Stephan "Luvnest" Hinselmann has the skills to beat any player with any faction, any day of the week. The native of Germany has ended in the money in multiple tournaments, but has yet to claim the grand prize in a major event. Luvnest is a beloved and respected member of the community and is chomping at the bit to claim the #1 spot of Operation Charlie Fox for himself.
OMGPOP is without a doubt the dominant player in North American Company of Heroes 2. Born and bred in Canada - home of Relic Entertainment - OMGPOP won 2014's Alienware Arena Cup NA, finished 4th in the $1000 COH2.ORG 1v1 Tourney, and took 2nd in Sunday Night Fights Season 5. His signature style involves impeccable micro coupled to psychotic, knock-you-on-your-ass aggression. OMGPOP is a fierce competitor and his games are guaranteed to bring the crowds to their feet.
Simon "Aimstrong" Rasmusen is a player with a long and decorated history in the Company of Heroes franchise. He defeated Seb to win 2011's COH1 Tourney XIX and defeated Sepha to win COH2's first major event, The Frontline Network World Championship. Of late, Aimstrong has returned to the competitive Company of Heroes 2 scene, placing fifth in the $1000 COH2.ORG 1v1 Tourney and climbing to the #1 ladder position with his Wehrmacht. The doughty Dane is poised to reclaim the title of World Champion and show that his game is stronger than ever.
The Operation Charlie Fox Tournament Rules have been published
This tournament is the first of its kind for COH2.ORG. Never before have we crowd-funded a prize pool, and never before have we run a double-elimination format Main Event. To help us deliver a smooth experience for both players and fans, please read these rules in detail. They contain the essential information that you will need to know before you check-in on Open Qualification Tournament Sunday, September 20th, 2015. You will find the check-in and start times for each tourney day, and details about faction picking and map selection. We are expecting between 150-250 players to sign-up and check-in on tourney day, so it's very important that you not only know the rules yourself, but that you can also teach them to your opponents if they are having trouble. Read them here:
